STUDENT BODY

American School’s students are distributed evenly among the elementary, middle, and high schools. The student population is heterogeneous in socioeconomic level, ethnicity, race, and national origin.

The majority of students are United States citizens who are presently residing on the island. A significant percentage of the students have emigrated from countries all over the world.

Due to the number of international businesses in the region, American School has become known as an oasis for comfort and assistance in transition for many students, whom, along with their parents, have been stationed in Puerto Rico for an interim.

Aware of the uniqueness of transient students, American School makes a special effort to initiate them into a welcoming atmosphere. All of the School’s students are individuals with unique intricacies. American School values this distinctiveness and makes every effort to nourish student growth in this.
